Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Brooks Macdonald, Robeco, Others

Brooks Macdonald Christian, who will be responsible for developing new business relationships with professional intermediaries, was most recently an investment specialist for the North West at Schroders Personal Wealth. Prior investment experience, with over 15 years in the industry, includes roles at Wealth at Work, Quilter Cheviot and Deutsche Bank. In Edinburgh, Tysoe will focus on building advisor relationships, the group, which manages around £16.5 billion for clients, said. Previously, Tysoe also worked at Schroders where she was an investment specialist. Before that she worked in investment roles at Lloyds Banking Group, Abrdn and Brewin Dolphin. Wealth manager Brooks Macdonald has added two offices in the North West and Edinburgh. Jennifer Christian is joining as business development manager for the North West; and Natalie Tysoe is joining as an investment director in Edinburgh.
Rotterdam-based Robeco has added four members to its sustainable investment research team reporting to Carola van Lamoen.
Whittaker, who will be Zurich-based, is joining from UBS, where she was an SI strategist in the CIO Office of the global wealth management arm. She spent two years at Robeco from 2015 to 2017. In her second term at the active manager, she will carry responsibility for identifying the impact ESG has on business fundamentals, increasing and broadening SI sector knowledge and increasing development of the SDG framework for mapping and measuring SDG contributions across all investment portfolios, the group said.
New researchers Schettino and Wong are also moving from UBS and will cover technology, media and telecom, financials and real estate, among other sector areas. Silvano, who is moving from Allianz Global Investors, will join Robeco's heavy industries SI Research cluster.
Succession, the UK financial planning and wealth management group, has appointed Andrew Barker as director of proposition.
Barker will be responsible for enhancing Succession’s proposition across several key areas including platform, investment strategy, use of technology and the protection and mortgage offering.
He will lead on communicating changes to Succession’s 180 financial planners, 600 staff and more than 17,000 clients. He will also be responsible for the company’s Independent Schools and Employee Benefits businesses, along with the firm’s brand marketing.
He is joining from Standard Life where he was head of advice proposition and delivery for the digital retirement advice business. Previously he worked at financial services institutions including Prudential, Lloyds Banking Group and Bank of Scotland.
